I have been a fourth grade teacher in the Deer Valley Unified School District for thirty-five years.  I attended Arizona State University where I received  my degree in elementary education.   I also have extensive training in writing from various classes I have attended over the years.  I currently teach Science and Social Studies.

 I was born and raised in Arizona. I went to Yavapai Community College for two years, then enrolled in ASU West's College of Education, and received my degree in Elementary Education!  

 I'm going on twenty-seven years of teaching in the Deer Valley Unified School District.  I taught third grade for three years at Esperanza and then I came here to Stetson Hills.  I continued teaching third grade for several years and then I started "looping with my students" to fourth grade.  I currently teach ELA and I LOVE IT!!

I am what Deer Valley calls a "come back" kid.  I attended schools in Deer Valley from the middle of 3rd grade all the way through high school.  I loved my educational journey and experiences as a student in this district.  That's why I chose to "come back" and work for this EXTRAORDINARY school district.  I enjoy this amazing community; especially my Stetson Hills STALLIONS!

In 2004, I earned my Bachelor's degree as Summa Cum Laude in Elementary Education with a focus on grades 5-9 from ASU West.  I am currently working on receiving my endorsement in Gifted Education and my highly qualification in middle school math.  In the near future, I look forward to earning my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership.

This will be my 21st year teaching.  I have taught 2nd through 5th grade over the last 18 years. This will be my fifth year working at Stetson Hills School.  I am so excited to be a member of the amazing Stallion staff.  GO STALLIONS.

At home, I have three amazing kids, a Fiancé, two dogs, and two cats.  Colton, Keirra, and Connor are my world and keep me very busy.  I have been with my Fiancé for 26 years and we enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, snowboarding, and going to the lake.  We take our German Shepard and Siberian Husky wherever we go!
