Hello! 

My name is Heather Duran.  I have been teaching for thirty three years!  How time flies!  I love teaching sixth grade and look forward to working with all of you and your children this year.  I graduated from ASU with my Bachelor's Degree, and received my Master's Degree from NAU.

I have been married for 28 years, and have three kids of my own.  My son, Shane, is   a physical therapist.  My daughter, Jenny,  graduated from NAU with a Marketing degree.  Michael graduated from Sandra Day O'Connor. My husband, Mark, is a police officer and is a K9 handler.

I love teaching and working with kids, and look forward to getting to know each and every student this year! It will be a great year!

Welcome to Sixth Grade Science and Social Studies!!

My name is Sophia Reichard and I recently graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I spent my student teaching experience here at Stetson Hills in 5th grade science, and I am extremely excited to teach 6th grade again this year! I was born and raised here in Arizona, and was a student at DVUSD for much of my elementary and high school education. I always knew that I wanted to teach in the district that I grew up in, and I am looking forward to a great school year!

When I'm not in the classroom, you'll find me spending time with my wonderful friends and family, paddleboarding, hiking, or at the nearest Target (iced coffee in hand).
