Mrs. Laurie Bennett

Welcome to Second Grade!  My name is Laurie Bennett, and I am excited to be your child's teacher.  This is my 24th year in education.  I've taught in the Chicago suburbs as well as in Phoenix.  I grew up in Illinois, and attended Judson University, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  Our family moved to Phoenix in 2008, and we have enjoyed exploring the West! After moving to Phoenix, I attended Grand Canyon University where I received my Reading Specialist Endorsement.  I LOVE reading, and hope to instill this quality in my students. When I am not at school, I love spending time with my family.  My husband and I are blessed with two fantastic grown kids, and an adorable English Bulldog named Daisy Mae. I look forward to working with you this year, as we partner together to make this an amazing school year.
