Quarterly Goals
The following goals are just a guideline for what your child should be able to do by the end of the quarter. Some students will exceed these goals.
First Quarter-
Goal 1: Students will be able to identify and name all 26 upper and lowercase letters.
Goal 2: Students will be able to identify and write numbers 1-10.
Second Quarter-
Goal 1: Students will be able to identify and produce all consonant letter sounds.
Goal 2: Students will be able to identify and produce all short vowel sounds.
Goal 3: Students will be able to identify and write numbers 11-20.
Third Quarter-
Goal 1: Students will be able to blend and read CVC words.
Goal 2: Students will be able to count syllables and sounds as well as write CVC words.
Goal 3: Students will be able to count to 100 by 1's and 10's.
Goal 4: Students will be able to compose and decompose numbers to 10, using number bonds and equations.
Fourth Quarter-
Goal 1: Students will be able to blend and read words with blends and diagraphs.
Goal 2: Students will be able to distinguish between long and short vowels.
Goal 3: Students will be able to write a simple sentence.
Goal 4: Students will be able to fluently add and subtract numbers to 5.
